Faith and Positivity Does Bring the Blues Away

,

Was brought up by folks who practice all the conventional and traditional stuff. They brought me up in such a way that I was supposed to just be at home if there's no school or work.  I was perfectly contented until I moved to the city.  It was like a culture shock to me.

My apartment got robbed twice and  I was mugged in the middle of the day and I spent a night in a shelter for I already run out of money to pay for rent.  After three months, I was able to find a job and got tough and was almost on a regular paranoia state whenever I walked the streets.  I was about to go home which would prove my parents right as they thought that I could not make it in the city.

And then one day, I just decided not to be bum and not think about what my parents would say.  The moment I stopped thinking of what they might rant, it's like everything fell into place. Got a gig as a ballet instructor and a production assistant in a radio station and I got to enroll in literature courses which pave the way for me to love Shakespeare and everything that has something to do with him such as Shakespeare essays.  My faith and positive attitude gave me the strength to go on and settle in a chaotic city that is New York.
