Please pray for my Dad, Jim Lukenbill as he found out he has an aortic anneurism(sp). This is very serious and involves opening the chest. He will be in the hospital for a week, rehab for two and then my house for 4-5 weeks. They haven't set the date yet but it should be soon. Please pray that he will get thru the surgery ok and heal and be healthy. Thank you all.

Annabelle's appt with her ENT went well....He was able to remove the ear tubes that had fallen into the ear canal and both ears look really good! He is still concerned with the size of her tonsils, they almost touch.....he says he doesn't do surgery before age 3 (she will be 3 on July 2nd.) So, they are going to keep an eye on her sleeping (she snores BAD and occasionally has very short interruptions in her breathing) and they will probably take her tonsils out over the summer....lots going on with her and Elisabeth.

Update for Shauna Foltz....please keep her in your prayers!!!

hey all-

lots of people asking. here's what i know so far. have had a PET scan, brain MRI and a spinal MRI plus 2 visits with the radidation oncologist and 1 visit w/the medical oncologist (chemo dr) this week. both drs are classifying my disease at this point as stable. that means some tumors have stayed the same, some have shrunk, and some have grown. most of the brain tumors have stayed the same or shrunk. 3 have grown, but they have already been treated previously with radiation so we will leave them alone for now.

all of the body tumors have stayed the same or shrunk, except there is a new one (8mm) in the left lung. we are also leaving that one alone.

the priority treatment is for 2 new tumors that were found on the spinal cord at lumbar vertebrae 1 and 2,3. this is probably causing the decreased function of my right leg. i had a "mapping" CT scan (for radiation treatment) today and discussed with radiation dr what he would like to do. i think we will be doing many (15 or so?) low dose treatments on them to avoid more damage to the spinal cord.

swelling in the brain looks about the same as on the last scans but i have had increased headaches so (at the urging of the medical oncologist) i will be increasing my prednisone(steroid) from 25mg/day to 60mg/day. pray for my sleep and my sanity!

i think this is all the info i have for today. i am weary (so is ed) from days at the hospital and taking in all the news. love you all. have a blessed week. shauna

Prayer request for Table Talk Ministries.....

hello all!! Most of you probably do not know, but a house w/outbuildings has recently been donated to Table Talk. After a lot of searching, Bill and I have decided it makes sense to have this home be the primary location for the ministry. (As of now, we have the donations stored in 3 different places!) In doing this, we would be able to have everything together: home/office/donations/place for Bill to build/fix things. Unfortunately, the home is not in a livable condition. It is going to take approximately $15,000.00 in order for Bill to make it livable. We do not have that kind of resources, so we are going to try to get a loan....credit isn't too great! So, in saying all of that....please be in prayer for the Lord to open doors and provide what is needed. Bill is going to talk to someone on Friday the 21st if he gets in from the road in time....if not, he is going to on Monday, the 24th. After having open heart surgery on Wen., My Dad took a turn for the worse today. He has enphysema and was having difficulty breathing, they had to put him back on the ventilator for 24-48 more hours and he is being sedated. Please, Please pray for him. Thank-you all!!!!!
I feel helpless, Emily is graduating tomorrow and we are having her open house (please sto...p by) but my heart is with my Dad. God, I thank you for being with us at this time!
