Hey guys and gals! I'm working on the Jr. High calendar for Summer 2010. We are looking at some epic events and series. I know 'yall have a lot going on in the summer - I am challenging you to make your participation in Jr. High youth ministry a big priority in your life. You will have a great time - I promise. Keep checking in - we're moving and shaking and I would hate for you to miss something.

Heads up!!! Next Saturday - May 29th at 10 a.m. we are having a fundraiser at the Family Dollar store in Bainbridge. Come out and help us raise funds for our ministry so we can continue to do what we do.

Hey there guys and gals.... wow... I can't believe it's summer and so many things are going on that after making up the calendar, I feel like the summer is already gone. I know you have so much going on too - and sometimes it's really tricky getting it all worked in. Remeber - above all else, take time to spend some one on one with God. He longs to spend that time with you and to hear from you. Don't let a day go by that you don't connect in a real way through prayer. Some other suggestions to make your day a good one: Do something nice for some, hug your mom, hug your dad, be kind to your brother or sister, write a letter to some (using actually pen and paper) CRAZY!

I am super stoked about our upcoming year -- we're getting things in motion for this fall. You will have plenty of opportunities for developing your leadership skills, walking the walk, and just plain ol having fun. Catcha later!

Hi All!

Today I am working on admin stuff for Jr. High Youth. This part of it is not nearly as much fun as the retreats, pool parties, etc. However, it is necessary in order for all of those things to happen. I would much rather be playing though :)

Be on the look out for an email about all of the exciting events we have planned for this summer and kicking off the school year. I have a really great feeling about his school year! It is going to be fantastic... and we are going to see our students rise up as leaders and tuly have a deeper undertanding of disicpleship! Won't you pray with me for these students as they are approaching some of the most exciting times of their lives! May God be their guide!

Super, super, super stoked about the new items coming in for Jr. High year 2010-2011! Be on the look out for "Designed 2 Shine" shirts and bracelets. They will be available at the kick-off. Shirts will be around $10 each, bracelets are free -- one for each student to wear and one to take with you to invite a friend to youth group. All items are orange and blue, so they will work out great for orange and blue days at school! The summer is winding down, soon we'll be back to hittin' the books and hangin' with friends at school. Just remember, the most important book to prepare you to shine this year is the B-I-B-L-E. Looking forward to a great year!

Hi Everyone -

Haven't been on the blog for a while, but it's not because I've been lazy :) It's because of the craziness that is my life! We had a great kick-off at the Spencer's and our first regular youth group for the year too. I am super excited about this year and the relationships we will build, the outreach projects we will do, the lessons we'll learn, and the mischief we'll get in to.
